Dream Called Time -- SL Viehl

The last of the Stardoc series. -Sniffles.- I'm having some separation anxiety from the characters. TT___TT It ends so happy and sad.

I finished a book titled 'The Best of Lewis Carroll'. It has Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, Hunting of the Snark, Phantasmagoria, A Tangled Tale, and Nonsense from Letters.

I'm currently working on the Lord of the Rings books and then I will be reading the Hobbit.

The last book I read was 'Thirteen Reasons Why' by Jay Asher. I'm still not entirely sure how I felt about it to be honest. I mean, it was an interesting read and I didn't dislike it, it's just I sort of expected something different. Also the person that committed suicide didn't really sound like a suicidal person, she never really spoke like someone who was contemplating suicide tends to. I understand that not everyone is the same, but that ticked me off a little.

Still, a fairly interesting read none the less. If you're bored and looking for something new, you could always go for that book. It's structured in a pretty interesting way too, which is always nice.

Quiet Man Cometh 01-17-2013 12:38 AM

Just finished The Sun Also Rises by Hemmingway. Not sure what I think of it. It was left over college reading from '09 that I picked up and decided to finish so there's a disconnect between the beginning and end for me. Not much I can say about it. If feels like one those conversations between two indifferent people that never really ends. There were a couple passages about France and Spain towards the end that I found pretty amusing though. Easy read though. Certainly not hard to follow.

I finished Up In Smoke awhile ago. (Katie MacAloster)

Tonight I finished Me And My Shadow by the same authors d starting another of her books.

The last book I actually finished was Haunted Hotels. Can't recall the name of the author though.

IronMaiden 02-08-2013 08:13 AM

The last actual book I picked up and read something out of would be

The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim Official Game Guide

Other then that, the last book I really read start to finish would be back in high school... Back in 09. And don't remember the name of that book. XD

Umaeril 02-09-2013 02:20 PM

Last book I finished was Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. It was interesting, I think she wrote a better book than I thought she would write at any rate.

Anatidae 02-10-2013 05:38 PM

The last book I finished was It's Kind Of A Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. It was okay. It's not my favourite book in the world but it's not the worst either.

toxxic 03-05-2013 03:46 AM

Thirteen Reasons Why, I think. And it was my third time reading it so I guess you could say I liked it.

Kilala Mikal 03-05-2013 03:53 PM

The last book that I read was The Secret Life of Bees. My aunt gave it to me for a Christmas present, and I've read it about 3 times since then.

Assassin 03-12-2013 10:49 PM

I finished that book recently myself. I neither disliked it nor liked it. I really liked the idea of it, I just didn't like the way that Hannah was portrayed.

Anyway, the last book I finished was a re-read of Looking For Alaska by John Green.

Alpha 04-08-2013 02:58 AM

Last book I actually finished was The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks. I still need to go back and read the other two books in the trilogy, but it's been so long that I might have to re-read the first one again.

A Passage to India -- E.M. Forster

Man I love Forster, I wish he'd written more novels. This one got kind of strange in the middle and then surprised me by getting me really emotionally invested by the end without my noticing.

Belladonna 06-12-2013 03:44 PM

Don't think bad of me but It was Twilight by Stephenie Meyer for the 20th time. I can't help it if I love the series...despite the sparkling vampires.

Jelly27 06-13-2013 06:39 AM

belladonna: doncha worry i read the series thrice(i was so team Jacob by the time i finished eclipse) ◕‿↼ in fact it is one of the first series teens usually read...

i recently finished reading the series Delirium by Lauren Oliver
its about revolting against the removal of the feeling of love from everyone's brain through surgery...its sort of like the hunger games only far better.~_^

The last book I completed was called Rejar. It is a romantic novel, but isn't exactly what most would perceive as normal. The men in these books are called Familiars, they can change into a form resembling a cat, only larger. Protected on their homeworld by Magicians called the Charl. I am now reading Mine To Take, which takes place after Rejar's story beings.
