Actually, I think the clem one is not solo because I'm helped people do the entire story line before. From rescuing him to helping him get his guns back.

Stabbsworth 09-28-2019 04:37 PM

oh? neat.

i might be able to solo it this time tbh. it's just that i'm using dual daggers instead of a sword, which i'm better with.

ml1201 09-28-2019 04:39 PM

Oh, that would do it. x'D

Stabbsworth 09-28-2019 04:42 PM

ye. i was previously using amphis.

Check the research in the dojo; I've unlocked the nutrio segment. It's going to cost 100k, but I can drag you to Index to get rich quick.

EDIT: The nutrio segment upgrades the incubator so that DNA thingies only cost 5k, your dog's DNA only goes down by... 2.5% a day, I think? and retrieval from stasis is immediate.

Stabbsworth 09-29-2019 09:19 AM

ohoh, nice. thank u for unlocking it. i think i've got the clan key ready.

Espy 10-03-2019 06:18 PM

Highest quality vs lowest quality (with resolution at 50%)

Stabbsworth 10-03-2019 06:32 PM

there's not much of a difference other than the glow effects, shading and the reflections on the floor.

Coda 10-03-2019 08:48 PM

Well, you're not going to be able to tell the difference between 100% and 50% with an image zoomed out like that. :P Everything is also slightly blurrier, although when it's in motion it's harder to see anyway.

Anyway, yes, the effects you describe very much are the kinds of things that get turned off when you need to make it run faster.

Ah, So I'm running it closer to low end so that it runs faster. I don't get the shines like in highest quality.

Accessibility is also a good reason to have some of those visual effects be configurable, yeah.

Espy 10-03-2019 11:24 PM

I should have also done a screencap w lowest quality at 100% res, sorry

Stabbsworth 10-04-2019 10:46 AM

i just have it at lowest quality so it runs faster tbh.

though, with the laptop i've got, i could reasonably run it with the highest quality at a decent speed, but i prefer performance over looks.

Stabbsworth 10-06-2019 07:00 PM

gotta love it when someone leaves after triggering an alarm in a spy mission, which then causes the data to be purged because you're not close enough to it to get to it in time, so why bother with backtracking just to have the data purged anyways because you need at least nine seconds on the clock to be able to do the damn puzzle anyways, because this is a corpus mission, and they fucking love ciphers for some goddamn reason.

i find the grineer ciphers much easier tbh.

ml1201 10-06-2019 09:25 PM

...(has never used a cipher but once when first starting)...I love sortie spy missions, they give so much exp. :D

Stabbsworth 10-07-2019 11:13 AM

nono, i mean the damn consoles.

ml1201 10-07-2019 06:05 PM

They are about the same to me personally, I just love doing sortie spy missions for leveling weapons. :3

Espy 10-07-2019 06:16 PM

I just do a LOT of Oceanum runs...

Stabbsworth 10-07-2019 06:17 PM

you need four of the ALU things for a fuckin razorback cipher shittery thing.

Espy 10-07-2019 08:19 PM

YUP. -grumbles-

ml1201 10-08-2019 06:52 PM

After you get the razorback reward, I would farm some more of the resource needed for that if you can tolerate it. This way you don't have to farm for it as much later on down the road.

Stabbsworth 10-09-2019 11:21 AM

no telling as to whether i'll actually be able to fight a razorback tbh. i'm still on mastery rank, uh, 5? probably? might be MR 6.

i did, however, purchase the blueprint for the Hek, which is a known gamebreaker, esp. in the early game, but i need to get the materials together to get it.

Espy 10-09-2019 12:33 PM

Solo razorback is a bit of an ADVENTURE

Stabbsworth 10-09-2019 12:53 PM

that's probably not a good idea, then, haha.

Espy 10-09-2019 02:25 PM

I mean, I’m playing as Ash and I’m actually relatively tanky (for Ash...), and it’s a lot of stealthing, stabbing, spoiler-mode-ing, and screaming.

Basically there are bursas that you need to hack so that they lose IFF and make the Razorback vulnerable, so that you can hit the Razorback. The entire thing is, hack a bursa, hit the Razorback, rinse and repeat, don’t die to the Corpus fire support bc boy there’s a lot of fire support.

Stabbsworth 10-09-2019 03:11 PM

oh dear lord.

ngl, i've been trying to get limbo so i can mess around with him.

Espy 10-09-2019 03:50 PM

Limbo... has a learning curve. Also, unless you really know wtf you’re doing, most squads will hate you.

ml1201 10-09-2019 10:28 PM

In regards to the razor back, you might want to go pub for the first few times until you can get valkyer (since using her four makes it easier to hack consoles if you're not as far in the game as some of us here are). Or use Rhino's Iron Skin. but there are times when you get people with connection issues and its just pointless trying to fight the boss because it will just lag out. That's happened to me before. It you want to send em a friend request Void my name is the same on there as here.

Stabbsworth 10-10-2019 10:00 AM

i'm pretty good at hacking consoles if i haven't got aggro (i.e: dying actually fucks up your attempt to hack the damn console in the first place, and will probably trigger an alarm).

having a bit of trouble with the limbo theorem because it's an excavation thing. might stick to excalibur but it'd be nice to have a different warframe to mess with.

Stabbsworth 10-10-2019 04:07 PM

-- finally started the Natah quest, will keep you posted as to whether I end up completing it.

Almost got softlocked, discovered a way out, somehow. Unfortunately, ways out aren't always obvious and it's frustrating.

ml1201 10-10-2019 09:55 PM

Yeah, with the Razorback, they are going to do everything they can to stop you from hacking anything. x'D

Espy 10-11-2019 01:30 AM

That's why I like playing as Ash. Spoiler-mode, regain energy, stealth (or just... keep using spoiler-mode), hack console, stab a few things, scream, repeat.

Stabbsworth 10-11-2019 08:39 PM

got someone to help with Natah, got access to Neptune.

starting the Second Dream quest. <:)

Espy 10-11-2019 08:53 PM

-INHALE-

Stabbsworth 10-12-2019 11:13 AM

oh boy

ngl i'm excited for more lore but sad bc, y'know.

ml1201 10-12-2019 04:02 PM

Let us know when you get to spoiler content, you're mind will go "WHAT!?" when you see it. XD

Espy 10-12-2019 07:31 PM

Why sad?

Also gods I wish I could vchat w you while you’re playing through second dream just to hear your reactions

Stabbsworth 10-13-2019 09:48 AM

<:)

the fridge horror in realizing that the lotus has a bunch of child soldiers.

also, unfortunately i genuinely can't do VC.
