Yeah the schools were super weird. elementary k-5 which is normal. Middle school 6th & 7th, junior high 8th and 9th and highchool 10-12.
I don't know what they were thinking with putting 8th and 9th graders together though..
Super horemone inraged 8th graders, that are super angry because their not in high school yet, and stupid 9th graders who think they can bully everyone younger then them because they think their high schoolers.
We had many a fights and bomb threats during 9th grade, it was terrible.

The school system here is really odd... 9th grade was all about trying things out to figure out what you wanted to do during highschool..
Here they considered high school 10-12th grade.
and you didn't do any of the cool stuff until Junior year.Blehh

Sadly I didn't read it until my junior year, But I loved it either way.
