Mine was no dad. I don't think he was able to be. The understanding I was talking about was about why he was so jumpy about noise and such. As I get older I find myself reacting to such things too. I decided long ago that I wasn't having a husband and kids, so I wouldn't be sharing all this nonsense with another generation.

I'm really starting to understand my male parent. Still don't wanna be anywhere near him, but I'm understanding why he demanded so much silence and distance sometimes.
