Wow. Ok so when you're colouring it you select some pixels and make them one color and other pixels and make them another, and the color comes dark or light according to the darkness or lightness of grey. Right?

yep yep, that's how it goes. you can't use 100% black or white, but you can use really dark grey and really light grey, and everything inbetween.

if you look at Major Sparkles, one of the monthly items in the Antiques shop, you'll see it looks really complicated because of all its colors. but actually, when you only look at the greyscale, it's a lot more simple! look!

yes, that's exactly what it does! it can be difficult to get exactly right. the one site i know that uses sliders has issues with some colors. and they have to be very picky about what items they accept, because shading the wrong way can make their items look really weird in the slider. all methods of coloring items have their good things and bad things. we make it easy for pixelists here because all they have to do is be able to make an item in grey! and if you're a designer, you don't even need to know how to pixel, you can just draw outfits all day and a pixelist will bring them to life.

no, the slider method uses a basic filter that a lot of art programs have. only one version is drawn, and then the system does the rest.

if you don't spend all your candy, it WONT roll over! it'll get completely cleared out. but eventhough the event is ending on the 12th, you have a week after that to spend your candy. you won't be able to earn more, but you can trade with other users for the last items you need. after that week is up, all candy will be removed from every user's inventory.

yeah, that's rite. our method is unique to us. a lot of sites let the pixelist choose just a couple of color options, and some even have sliders that let items be any color imaginable. we're somewhere inbetween, with a lot of options, but not infinite.

pixeling itself you can definitely learn from online resources! the way we recolor on trisphee you'd have to learn from us.
