vBulletin has stopped updating the major version Trisphee uses, so I don't get those notices anymore. Heh.

Yeah...upgrading forum software is very difficult when you have lots of extensions. I used to run a Zelda fansite, and it wasn't that horrible to upgrade the forums there, but there weren't that many custom extensions there, mostly just usability things that were well-maintained by third parties.

But Trisphee? Forget it. No way we can do a major forum upgrade.

Ah, that's unfortunate. I still have my original account on Gaia (from...2004, I think?), although I did rename myself once. Managed to not piss anyone off, I guess. :P When I was most active, I hid in the B/C Shops board, mostly.

Trisphee's avatar and shop system used to be tightly coupled with vBulletin as a plugin, but it's pretty much entirely independent now. Only thing that's still reliant on forum plugins is the Aurum granting for posts.


It would still be a giant pain in the ass to replace vBulletin with something newer, so I doubt that'll happen. Coda & I will just gradually replace parts of it with new things as we see fit.
